BRIEF: Nova's opening a 24-hour coffee shop on South Boulevard
Aug 20, 2012 (The Charlotte Observer - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
Bread fans who have been around Charlotte for a few years know that Nova's Bakery hasn't always been on Central Avenue. When it first opened, it was small a bread bakery over on Iverson Way in Dilworth.
Now Nova's is planning a move back into the Dilworth area with a new coffee shop location in SouthEnd, in the small building at 1515 South Blvd. that held a Laurel Market location for a while.
Nova's bakery operation will will stay on Central Avenue in the Plaza Midwood section, while the new space will be a 24-hour coffee shop with WiFi and indoor and outdoor seating.
The new shop may be open as early as Sept. 1. Nova's will still have breads in Harris Teeter stores in Charlotte and still has a stand every Saturday at the Charlotte Regional Farmer's Market, 1801 Yorkmont Road.
