CoActiv PACS4VETS® Mobile Makes Advanced PACS Possible for Every Animal Health Practice

Offering small veterinarian practices an innovative and practical
solution, CoActiv Medical (RSNA Booth # 7303) introduces PACS4VETS
Mobile, a complete turnkey, portable PACS optimized for veterinarian
practices. The traditional PACS price point and need for multiple
workstations has long kept many smaller veterinarian practices from
taking advantage of digital imaging. With a price point of about $5,000,
now, PACS4VETS Mobile makes advanced PACS technology appropriate for
even single physician practices with a low image volume.
New PACS4VETS Mobile combines CoActiv's world-class PACS veterinary
application with all required hardware including a Dell (News - Alert) business class
laptop for a truly turnkey, plug-and-play solution. It is designed for
practices of one to three veterinarians with a limited number of exam
rooms and basic modalities such as x-ray and ultrasound. Larger
practices can take advantage of CoActiv's standard PACS4VETS, which is a
robust, reasonably priced application meeting a full range of PACS needs.
PACS4VETS Mobile automatically archives all images to the laptop hard
drive. Users connect to the modality using a network plug-in or wireless
connection. The system is geared for practices that offer x-ray and
perhaps ultrasound. It offers a streamlined upgrade path to the full
PACS4VETS.
