Diligent Exhibits Boardbooks for iPad

The 65th Annual National Conference of the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals will be held from June 22-25, at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. Diligent Board Member Services will exhibit Boardbooks for the iPad there. For the past eight consecutive years, Diligent has been exhibiting at the conference. Diligent Board Member Services is the top provider of Board Portals in the world.

Diligent will demonstrate their Boardbooks software to corporate secretaries and governance professionals attending the conference. They will also enjoy a first-hand experience in the digitization and streamlining of materials. Online board portals will be used for the same. Diligent’s Boardbooks iPad App was launched in January, has gained immense popularity and Diligent will highlight it at the conference, demonstrating push towards paperless environments. Many directors will be now able to replace paper binders and even laptops with the iPad app.

In a release, Alex Sodi, president and Chief Executive Officer of Diligent, said, "The Apple (News - Alert) iPad in conjunction with Diligent Boardbooks is revolutionizing the corporate board room. Board portals are not only more efficient and effective for directors, but they allow corporate secretaries and governance professionals to streamline the process of creating, distributing, archiving and ultimately disposing of traditional board books."

According to Sodi, the Boardbooks iPad app adds a dimension of security, portability and ease-of-use. These dimensions are valued by both directors and corporate secretaries.

Diligent gives Boardbooks to company directors, executives and administrators. Materials can be securely compiled, distributed, viewed and archived within a Software-as-a-Service or SaaS (News - Alert) model with the easy-to-use system, Diligent Boardbooks.

The Diligent Boardbooks board portal was developed in 2001. The company now has clients globally that use the Diligent Boardbooks board portal. The clients’ very specific needs will be met with the system’s built-in flexibility. The portal can be used to view the materials either online or offline. A book can also be projected at the meeting through the portal. Directors also have the option of either printing the paper books or going paperless.
