iPad Users Say Losing Their Gadgets Would be Worse than a Root Canal

Could anything be worse than the physical pain associated with getting a root canal, suffering an injury through a car accident, or even breaking a bone? Apparently, some people would assert that losing one’s iPad would trump any of the aforementioned traumas.

A new survey conducted by Brainshark (News - Alert), Inc. shows that of more than a thousand people surveyed, nearly half say breaking their iPad would be worse for them than actual physical pain or even being fired from their jobs – which should come as no surprise after CouponCodes4u released survey results showing that Americans were willing to go into debt for the iPhone (News - Alert) 5.

The iPad is not even five years old, but has already won millions of consumers and fans. This survey illustrates how heavily people rely in iPads for their personal and professional lives.

Many iPad users have left laptops behind altogether, and predict that in a couple of years, most people will have done the same.

In fact, iPads have been replacing more than just peoples desktops and laptops. Users report that they now use their iPads for just about everything, from taking pictures and recording videos to getting driving directions and listening to MP3s. It’s no wonder people are so terrified to lose or break their iPads!

The tablet device is portable and lightweight, much more so than a standard laptop. These qualities allow users to take their iPads just about anywhere. The Brainshark survey shows that users will even bring their iPads into the bath and on the toilet with them.

Most iPad users polled said they would rather lose their wallet, credit card, or even wedding ring before losing their iPad. It’s clear that this unassuming piece of technology is quickly becoming something that some people simply cannot live without.

And as Apple (News - Alert) ambles toward releasing newer versions of the iPad with even more capabilities, it’s possible that the tablet may replace the standard computer altogether.
