Axis Unveils 360-Degree Panoramic Cameras for Overview Surveillance

Recently, Axis (News - Alert) Communications unveiled 360-degree fixed mini dome cameras, which offer a 5-megapixel sensor that facilitates detailed, high-quality 360- or 180-degree panoramic views of wide areas.

The digital network video surveillance system offers various advantages and advanced functionalities that cannot be offered by an analog video surveillance system. The benefits consist of remote accessibility, high image quality, event management and intelligent video capabilities, easy merging possibilities and better scalability, flexibility and cost-effectiveness.

With the help of AXIS M3007-PV and AXIS M3007-P network cameras, retail stores, hotels, schools and offices will now get affordable camera solutions that provide wide angle views and help them in monitoring the flow of traffic.

The cameras provide 360-degree overviews when mounted on ceilings and 180-degree overviews when mounted on walls. They also provide panoramic views.

Offering 360 degrees of overview with 5-megapixel resolution, as well as horizontal panoramic views and quad views for easy viewing, both AXIS M3007-PV and AXIS M3007-P network cameras from AXIS Communications support numerous viewing modes.

“Axis’ new 360-degree fixed cameras give price-sensitive market segments the option of using just one camera to get the big picture, with great details, at an affordable price,” said Erik Frännlid, director of Product Management, Axis Communications. “The cameras also have substantial capacity for intelligent video applications and support a range of video management software including the complimentary AXIS Camera Companion.”

Recently, the company introduced the Axis M3006-V network camera. This camera provides a 3-megapixel, vandal- and dust-resistant fixed mini dome interface with a wide-angle view and HDTV 1080p to the Middle East. The camera is simple to deploy and has been created to cater to the video surveillance requirements of price-sensitive market segments such as retail stores, hotels, schools and offices.
