iGrill App Now Available for iPhone 5

Men’s two favorite hobbies, grilling and playing with their iPhones, come together seamlessly with the iGrill app. The popular app, made by iDevices, is now compatible with the iPhone (News - Alert) 5.

The app makes entertaining easy, allowing users to monitor their food from as far as 200 feet away by integrating a Bluetooth-enabled meat thermometer with an Apple (News - Alert) app. The app itself is available for no charge through iTunes and features multiple-probe support, multiple view options, a cooking time remaining feature, Facebook (News - Alert) integration and recipes from Jennie-O. Even Mark Zuckerberg has been known to use this highly functional tool, updating his Facebook status with a picture of steak that he cooked using the thermometer and app.

The updated iGrill app features a clearer retina display with a resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels. The iPhone 5’s 1.2 megapixel HD camera enhances the quality of the images of food captured by the app for sharing on Facebook. The iPhone 5 also facilitates the integration of Bluetooth 4.0 with the app, using a fraction of the power that earlier-generation Bluetooth technology used, extending battery life, lowering cost of production, and making iGrill more user-friendly than ever before.

iDevices CEO, Christopher Allen, is excited about the iPhone 5’s role in bettering its product. “We are excited to see that Apple is focusing on the continued deployment of Bluetooth 4.0 technology with the iPhone 5. It’s these types of enhancements from Apple that allow companies, like ourselves, to continue to release cutting edge app-enabled products to the consumer," Allen said.

Whether you need to walk away to refill drinks for company, check on swimming children, or answer the door, the iGrill app makes it easy to balance grilling your meat to perfection with enjoying your barbeque. Grilling may be a decades-old American tradition, but the iPhone 5 and the iGrill app bring the pastime into the 21st century.
