Logitech Announces Durable, Minimum Noise, Rapid Response Gaming Keyboard

Logitech (News - Alert) announced the addition of Logitech G710+ Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, an enhancement to its G-Series line of gaming products.

The new keyboard, featuring rapid response keys, is optimized to help gamers focus on the game with almost no distraction.

Mark Starrett, senior global product manager for Logitech said, “The Logitech G710+ Mechanical Gaming Keyboard was created to meet the specific needs of gamers. We road tested this keyboard with professional gamers, partners, publishers, and everyday gamers like you and me, to ensure we’ve created a mechanical gaming keyboard that exceeds expectations.”

The features of the keyboard include mechanical keys that deliver gaming-grade responsiveness and an actuation force of 45g and distance of four mm which makes rapid command entry possible. The non-clicking key switches incorporate a built-in dampening ring under the keycap which reduces clicking noises while typing.

The keyboard is designed for providing maximum durability and is expected to withstand at least 50 million keystrokes, said officials.

Also the entire keyboard is backlit with a white LED light that can be adjusted to four different brightness levels or can be put off, if not desired. While the visibility of the WASD and arrow keys can be accentuated by adjusting their brightness independently.

The updated Logitech Gaming Software helps users assign complex macros or intricate Lua gaming scripts to the keyboard’s G-keys including up to 18 individual functions per game. This can be done in advance or while using the device.

All 110 keys on the keyboard feature anti-ghosting and 26-key rollover to help execute complex key-commands smoothly. The Logitech G710+ Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is compatible with Microsoft (News - Alert) Windows 8, Windows 7, and Windows Vista, added officials.

Logitech also announced the Logitech Bluetooth Illuminated Keyboard K810. Compatible with Windows, iOS and Android (News - Alert) operating systems, the devices feature a layout designed for Windows 8. This rechargeable keyboard uses Bluetooth connectivity to pair with up to three devices simultaneously such as a PC, tablet and smartphone.
