Ulticom Unveils Sophisticated DEA Capabilities for Ulticom DSC

Ulticom (News - Alert) has recently unveiled its sophisticated Diameter Edge Agent for the Ulticom Diameter Signaling Controller or DSC. Ulticom DSC is now available with LTE (News - Alert) roaming assistance and features capabilities such as protection, SLA implementation, and billing.

Roaming hub operators, telecom equipment manufacturers, and mobile network operators wll surely benefit from this fixed-price, Linux-based software solution powered by the Ulticom DSC. The solution, which can be incorporated with current offerings in a simplified manner, is perfect for stand-alone implementation as a centralized router or edge agent in both IPX/GRX networks and mobile networks. It also guarantees a flawless user experience as it supports MNO to IPX/GRX and MNO/MNO roaming interoperability.

In a statement, Bruce Swail, CEO of Ulticom said, "LTE Roaming has become an important focus for mobile network operators, roaming hub providers, and telecom equipment manufacturers. The flexibility and scalability of the Ulticom DSC is critical to monetizing and stabilizing LTE networks."

Security is very crucial when the MNOs interlink their networks. Apart from safeguarding the network from other providers, providers also need to camouflage the topology of both the networks significantly.

The extremely sophisticated 3GPP DEA functionality is currently offered by the Ulticom DSC which powers high quality service level agreements and delivers call detail records or CDRs. In addition, helpful data for corroborating accurate system operations, avoiding SLA violations, detecting issues, and accounting for services offered is included in a CDR.

It is ideal for specific applications requiring diameter load balancing, DRA functionality, or Diameter SS7 Interworking on any platform.
