Sennheiser DW Wireless Series Headsets Win Prestigious Award from Frost & Sullivan

Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert) recently recognized Sennheiser’s DW Wireless Series headsets with the Most Innovative European Communications Product of the Year award.

The DW Series headset boasts innovative design, features and multi-vendor compatibility. Officials said the multivendor interoperability of the DW Wireless Headsets Series creates strong potential across a spectrum of verticals and organization sizes.

Optimized for solutions from Microsoft, Aastra, Alcatel-Lucent, Avaya, Cisco, IBM (News - Alert), Polycom and other top manufacturers, the headsets are widely used in business environments with deskphones or softphones.

HD voice clarity of the Sennheiser DW Series headset range provides users a natural listening experience. The noise-cancelling microphones offer optimum speech quality by filtering out unwanted background noise, reducing echo and increasing clarity.

"Sennheiser is a dynamic player in a highly competitive market, with a strong design ethic, and it's clear that innovation is part of Sennheiser's DNA," Frost & Sullivan Information and Communications Technology Research Director for Europe, Adrian Drozd, said in a statement. "In selecting the company for this Award, the independent judging panel that scrutinized Frost & Sullivan's analysis was impressed by the innovative design and features, solid go-to-market strategy and, above all, strong market potential of the DW Wireless Series headsets."

Featuring an excellent ActiveGard acoustical shock protection system, the headset also protects users from sudden sound surges.

Frost & Sullivan considers the DW Wireless Series headsets to be an elegant solution to the often inherent problems of contact centers, offices and Unified Communications (News - Alert) professionals.

Johannes Kaulfuss, head of product management at Sennheiser Communication, said, "Our new headsets are the culmination of almost 70 years' experience of the audio electronics industry and we are delighted that Frost & Sullivan, widely acknowledged to be leaders in offering insight into the enterprise communications marketplace, has recognized the innovation excellence of our DW Wireless Series range."

In related TMC (News - Alert) news, AVI-SPL, a premier provider of audiovisual communications solutions, selected Sennheiser as one of its three exclusive microphone manufacturer suppliers.
