Typing on a mobile keyboard can be tricky, and various devices and applications are available to make it easier. But the problem still persists.
SnapKeys has now announced the beta launch of SnapKeys Si. According to the company, this is the first ever invisible keyboard app to free smartphones and tablets of obstructive, on-screen keyboards.
By opening the screen by way of only four translucent keys, SnapKeys Si takes social interaction to a whole new level. This will allow users to see and interact with mobile content in a whole new way. This feature was not possible until now.
Along with comfort to the overall mobile user experience, SnapKeys Si provides simplicity, speed and accuracy so mobile communication is as effortless as chatting on a computer.
SnapKeys Si, Si for “social interface,” is social keyboard that frees up the mobile screen, allowing users to experience a new era of social interaction. They can interact with the content of their screen and text and comment as well.
The new widget also enables users to view photos, and watch videos, TV and games. They can also see their friends, and read their e-mails on their mobile device.
“SnapKeys Si brings a long overdue upgrade to the mobile device market, where the screens of mobile devices have been limited to a QWERTY keyboard and a small text box,” said Benjamin Ghassabian, CEO and founder of SnapKeys. “Despite innovations in smartphone and tablet technology, mobile devices today are still reliant on QWERTY-based keyboard designs, which were originally intended for typewriters and computers as a separate peripheral from the screen. The screen space of small mobile devices is precious and cannot be occupied by many keys.”
Recently, the company revealed how SnapKeys 2i works. In this regard, SnapKeys commissioned an innovative usability study, allowing 5th graders at the Lovell elementary school in Apopka, Florida, near Orlando, to spend half an hour a day for three days, typing on SnapKeys 2i.
