FieldSolutions, a provider of field service technicians to large technology services companies throughout North America, announced that its newly released FS-Mobile is a real-time, location-based smartphone toolset for independent contractor resources.
FieldSolutions claimed that it is much more than a web-enabled job board, it is a service company that has embraced the Internet as a way to deliver a breakthrough strategic advantage to clients.
The company’s FS-Mobile smartphone application was until now available only to full-time field technician provider companies. The solution is supposed to further the speed and quality management of independent contractors for technology field service. The toolset comes packed with advanced features that enhance speed, performance, and reporting of work done in the field. Also the geo-coded proof-of-proximity features benefit both field service technicians and service provider companies.
Officials with the company commented that FS-Mobile is a game-changer for clients and field service technicians because it ensures more on-time arrivals and faster assignments for new jobs. FS-Mobile revolutionizes the speed-to-source and quality assurance equation for deploying independent field service contractors.
Technicians can now download real-time “find, contact and validate” applications to their smartphones. They will also have the ability to inform their clients in real-time of their location for upcoming work coverage. These features were previously accessible only to high-cost, full-time field technician resources and are not generally available to client companies working through regional service providers.
Some of the key features and benefits of FS-Mobile include: ‘Proof-of-Proximity Check-In/Out’ – allows independent contractor to stamp the time they checked in or out on the work order. Technicians’ location can be ascertained with help of the app’s geo-locator; by uploading geo-coded proof-of-proximity photos, technicians can prove that the required work was carried out on the exact location; technicians can access entire work schedule and all work order information from their smartphone which results in better time management and improved productivity; and more.
