Hipcricket, the one-stop mobile marketing and advertising company reputed for its ability to power mobile campaigns, claims it has achieved a milestone of sorts when it reached an industry-leading 130,000 campaigns.
This milestone comes as no surprise, for ever since it powered its first campaign in 2004, Hipcricket has progressed rapidly, increasing its pace of activity dramatically. In the first half of 2010, it developed and executed 17,000 campaigns, a figure that almost doubled in the first half of 2011. The company is experiencing double-digit growth month over month.
Its extensive reach across a wide spectrum of industries featuring major national brand clients and its ability to use various elements to power its campaigns and form key partnerships with more than 70 agencies has resulted in Hipcricket's increased footprint in the agency world.
It also has the honor of being the exclusive mobile marketing and advertising partner for a growing number of clients that include nonprofit organizations.
“Many of our clients are accelerating their mobile efforts given the channel’s ability to measure the success of campaigns and optimize in real time,” said Eric Harber, Hipcricket president and chief operating officer, in a press release.
Harber commented on the company's versatility and said, “Whether it’s building API-based integrations for leading CRM systems or creating the first mobile-social solution, Hipcricket is innovating and driving measurable business results through our cloud-based HIP 7.0 platform.”
Earlier this month, Augme Technologies, Inc. announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Hipcricket. The acquisition, which is subject to typical closing conditions, is currently expected to close at the end of August 2011.
The combined power of both companies is expected to provide recognized end-to-end mobile marketing solutions for more than 300 customers from various sectors of industry.
In related news, Hipcricket announced that Ramar Communications has extended its contract with Hipcricket to provide an expanding number of mobile marketing programs that will enable Ramar Communications to deliver sponsored information and also offer integrated mobile CRM initiatives and more.
