The leading provider of cloud and on-site customer interaction software for sales and service, eGain recently launched a new application for the Apple (News
- Alert) iPad platform that makes completing web forms easier for the consumers using iPad as well as other Apple devices.
Named Cobrowse, the application has been designed for smartphones and tablets, including the Apple iPad, Apple iPhone, as well as Android (News - Alert)-based devices. In a press release, eGain announced the immediate availability of eGain Cobrowse.
Businesses in regulated sectors like financial services, insurance, health care, and government often find online form-filling a major hurdle in customer acquisition. The complicated forms tend to confuse and frustrate customers. As a result, 75 percent of all web forms are abandoned.
Headquartered in Mountain View, California, eGain has operating presence in North America, EMEA and APAC.
In the release, eGain claimed that its Cobrowse product will help iPad and other mobile device using consumers complete web forms in a convenient and secure manner—while simultaneously engaging them in a call or text chat. Thus, Cobrowse is expected to increase form submission, while enhancing the customer experience.
eGain claimed that its Cobrowse is extremely easy to deploy and does not require any consumer download. With eGain’s multichannel customer interaction hub, cobrowse interactions are unified with other communication channels for 360-degree context.
“Our clients have seen as much as 200 percent improvement in online form completion when they use cobrowsing to help customers fill forms on the web. We are delighted to offer our innovative cobrowse product on the iPad and other mobile devices,” eGain CEO commented in a statement.
Last month eGain announced that Canon (News - Alert) U.S.A, Inc. has picked eGain 10 software suite for providing multichannel customer service.
