Polaroid, a provider of consumer electronic goods such as digital cameras, 3D TVs, tablets and more, has unveiled a new smart camera Polaroid SC1630 powered by Android (News - Alert).
The company’s new smart camera merges the optics of a digital still and video camera with the power of the Android platform, so that users can not only capture images, but also enables them to share high-end digital images.
Featuring a high definition 16 megapixel camera, the new Polaroid SC1630 Smart Camera also features a built in 3X optical zoom, touch screen display and Wi-Fi, thereby making uploads to social networks easy.
As an Android powered smart camera, the Polaroid SC1630 evolves the process of clicking, editing, uploading and tagging by offering all these functionalities on a single device. The camera can upload images to social networks with the touch of one button and can hold up to 32GB of memory via a microSD card.
In addition, the Polaroid SC1630 Smart Camera also features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and optional cellular data connection allowing users to share digital images from anywhere.
The Polaroid SC1630 Smart Camera has also been provided with Smart Album feature, which automatically organizes photos by date, location and people. In addition, users can geo-tag (News - Alert) the photos and add longitude and latitude coordinates to them.
Weighing approximately five ounces, the new Polaroid SC1630 is built on a 16 megapixel CCD senor that treats images to a 3X optical zoom, thereby allowing users to: capture images at 36mm or full 108mm magnification; and view captured images 3.2 inch widescreen display.
In addition, the new Polaroid SC1630 also features automatic face and smile detection. The device can even connect to a USB cord. Some of the on-board editing features include cropping, red-eye removal, re-sizing and color correction.
Precisely, the camera bundles all the features required to conveniently capture, connect and instantly share beautiful HD digital images and video into one device.
With the power of Android, the Polaroid SC1630 Smart Camera supports Google's (News - Alert) Android Market, thereby allowing users to link up with more than 400,000 apps and check-in on where friends are gathering, get directions or make the next move in a game, or more.
