Alert) Imageon M180 media processor is powering the ultra-fast, high-resolution, DVD-quality video and high-definition audio features in the new LG KC550 mobile phone. AMD, a global provider of innovative processing solutions in the computing and graphics markets said that its processor technology aids LG in delivering the latest multimedia features that consumers demand.
LG’s new mobile device boasts a variety of multimedia functions such as a 5 megapixel camera with an advanced image stabilizer, MP3 music player, high-resolution video recorder and DVD-quality video player. AMD’s officials explain that all of these functions are driven by the processing power of the AMD Imageon M180 media processor. AMD technology also enables autorotation of images on the 2.4 inch display of this new lightweight GSM phone, which enables users to easily switch between portrait and landscape views.

AMD claims they have shipped more than 250 million AMD Imageon media processors during the product lifetime.
