) ConnecTech support services in more than 4,400 company-owned RadioShack stores. AT&T ConnecTech will now work as a full-service tech-support team for RadioShack customers.
AT&T ConnecTech is AT&T's suite of support, installation and maintenance services offering comprehensive computing and home entertainment assistance. ConnecTech products and services are available in all 50 states with some limited restrictions.
The agreement will allow RadioShack customers to choose from various levels of AT&T ConnecTech support. Some of these support services include home networking and pc installation, remote online wireless network installation, one-time remote technical support, pc repair and home theater installation.
With this agreement, customers will now have in-home support services from ConnecTech to the customers of RadioShack in addition to the assistance they get beyond the store.
Peter Whitsett, executive vice president and general merchandising manager for RadioShack, said that due to the demand in the mobile world, consumer choices are becoming more complex every day.
“So it's a natural fit to offer a wide range of support services both in the stores and in their homes,” said Whitsett.
AT&T believes that its ConnecTech support service suits perfectly for RadioShack's connected, digital customers. The company believes that this agreement will save time and allow the customers to enjoy the new technology immediately with convenient and affordable support. RadioShack sells products such as wireless phones, GPS receivers, digital music players and laptop computers. For home enjoyment, RadioShack delivers the latest in entertainment products, from digital cameras to large screen TVs and gaming.
