WildCharge, Inc., a provider of wire-free power technology, signed a licensing and distribution agreement with Superior Communications (News - Alert), a manufacturer and distributor of wireless accessories.

 

Per the terms of this agreement, Superior will be allowed to resell current products developed by WildCharge and additionally the company can also develop new products based on WildCharge’s technology.

 

“With a trusted industry source like Superior, which has championed leading wireless brands and products for almost 20 years, WildCharge believes the timing to provide wire-free charging products and accessories to the mass market comes at a perfect time, and we are excited to have Superior validate our technology,” Dennis Grant, CEO and chairman of WildCharge, said.

 

Wire-free power technology is gaining momentum as one of the new method for charging phones and other portable electronic devices.

 

Solomon Chen, CEO of Superior Communications, said that the company sees an opportunity to utilize WildCharge’s technology to offer products that our customers can use today.

 

“After a review of the various options and the current state of the standards process for wireless charging, we believe that the benefits of WildCharge’s technology, its licensing program, and its partners ensures that it will not only have a significant footprint, but will happily coexist with other approaches,” Chen said.

 

WildCharge is reportedly the first company to offer commercially available wire-free charging technology that works with multiple devices across multiple brands.
