Gadgets -Nuvico Intros New Series of Digital Video Recorders

Englewood, NJ-based Nuvico has introduced a new series of digital video recorders (DVRs) – the EVL-400N and EVL-800N series.

The 400 series is a 4 channel DVR, while the 800 series has 8 channels, according to company officials. These DVRs come with either an internal 500GB HDD or 1TB HDD -- 1000GB.

Additionally, Nuvico EVL series DVRs are equipped with new standard for video compression H.264. In addition, the DVRs also feature 120fps and real-time recording, said officials.

The front panel interface of these compact and lightweight DVRs are “touch sensitive,” said officials. Moreover, these latest offerings also come with a maximum recording rate of 120pps at 360 x 240.

Also, the new Nuvico DVRs come with “Triplex” function which allows for simultaneous recording, playback, and network, said officials. Plus, the series is compatible with Blackberry and PDA.

In June Nuvico introduced APEX Lite DVRs, featuring real-time recording per channel, and industry-exclusive multi-layer streaming compression technique, which allows for crystal clear resolution storage while streaming the video across a network or internet at a variable rate. APEX Lite also comes with a standard built-in DVD-RW to easily archive stored data.
