A backup solution needs to be built into the SoMo 650 handheld computer ROM as most Socket customers use their devices every day and depend on them to efficiently run their business. And, it is common for Socket Mobile’s customers to store business-critical data and applications on their devices. Sprite Backup software will protect this information from loss or corruption.
Sprite Backup is a backup and recovery software for Windows Mobile devices from Sprite Mobile. It will secure all data, application, contact, message and configuration effortlessly and automatically. It is possible to take backup to even PC, FTP and Storage Cards. In addition, Sprite Backup enables users to automatically schedule backups.
According to Len Ott, CTO of Socket Mobile, from a device management perspective, Sprite Backup makes the SoMo 650 more enterprise-ready. It assists support teams and companies deploying a number of handheld devices into the field by making it easy to restore data if they encounter any issues. In addition, the various levels of restore capabilities available ensure that customers don't always have to perform a complete restore of their device. That is, it is possible to bring back selective parts if required.
Socket Mobile offers a family of handheld computers and an extensive portfolio of AIDC peripherals designed specifically for business mobility deployments and to enable productivity increases and drive operational efficiencies. The products from Socket Mobile are used in healthcare, hospitality and other vertical markets.
