STONE wireless Bluetooth headset looks like a black pebble you can toss into a lake – and it stays hidden when a consumer lets her hair down. Even if your hair is short, “you don’t look like a customer service rep” wearing it, a Jabra rep told TMCnet.
Jabra unveiled its new, minimalistic-design STONE last week; the device is available exclusively at AT&T retail stores and on ATT.com for $129.99. It can be used with most popular smartphone models, such as BlackBerry and iPhone (

Although the STONE is not equipped with an on-face microphone, the stone replica designed to help its user not sound like she’s talking in a tin can, according to the company.
The Jabra STONE comes with a sleek wireless portable charger that fits into the palm of the user’s hand. Just plug the headset into the charger and power it up. Two hours of charging yields eight hours of talk time.
Though STONE’s cool, slick look tops the list of desirable features, another key element is performance. The STONE reportedly features patented “Noise Blackout Extreme” technology that lets the device work without a microphone extension to the face. Instead, the tiny dual microphones are built in to increase the amount of captured sound data to more intelligently filter background noise.
The result, according to Jabra press materials, is “the perfect balance between noise elimination and the delivery of natural-sounding voice.”
