Gadgets -Dell Adamo XPS Features TZ Intevia Locking Technology

Telezygology Inc., a Chicago-based provider of security, locking, monitoring and control applications across a number of market segments, announced that its TZ Intevia technology is featured in Dell’s newest ultra-thin premium laptop, Adamo XPS.

TZ’s Intevia technology can be used to remotely lock, fasten as well as control objects in data center cabinets, kitchen cabinets, medicine cabinets, marine deckhead panels, access panels, security drawers and more.

Currently, TZ has four different locking models, which are based on common Intevia latching technology: Intevia Radial 4110CF, 4120CF, 4116HF and 4130SF. All models are compact, each with high-load fastening mechanisms that utilize eight locking jaws to capture and hold an inserted mating stud, which is released on command when a nickel-titanium Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) wire actuates the mechanism.

Dell’s (News - Alert) Adamo XPS laptop, which features TZ’s locking technology, is designed and engineered with assistance from TZ's product development subsidiary, Product Development Technologies (PDT). With just the swipe of a finger, the keyboard appears from under the display as the system is open. In other words, the body of the laptop is raised so the keyboard is angled. Its other key features include 4 GB DDR3 800 memory, an Intel (News - Alert) Core 2 Duo (1.4Ghz) processor, 128GB SSD, a 13.4-inch high-definition display and more.

Apart from TZ’s Intevia latching system, the Dell Adamo XPS laptop also features built-in location awareness, thereby providing real time local maps to show the current location of the people. This 0.4-inch depth, light-weight device also features a built-in 802.11n WiFi (News - Alert) connectivity.

TZ’s Intevia Enterprise is an integrated management system for physical security, environmental monitoring and energy control at the component and device level. It incorporates communication gateways, client, database and application software, remotely-controlled sensing, monitoring, intelligent locking and fastening devices, which extend the reach of traditional network and access-control systems.

The Intevia Enterprise platform technology can control as well as connect any device or building element through the Internet. It can be integrated into offices, hospitals, homes, airports, server farms and any environment that needs physical security sensing and control beyond the macro level.
